Intelligent Design for Businesses on the Go
A tradeshow cart is more than a display; it’s a portable storefront. For this project with local roaster Firebat Coffee, the challenge was to engineer a solution that was lightweight enough for easy transport, strong enough to withstand constant use, and professional enough to represent their brand. I believe a functional piece like this deserves to be created with a deep respect for both the user's needs and the principles of smart, collapsible design.
The construction of this cart is a showcase of practical engineering. I chose solid Poplar wood for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring the cart is both durable and manageable. The entire structure is designed to fold down flat for transport, utilizing a system of robust butterfly hinges and custom brackets that allow for a tool-free, sub-one-minute assembly. With an integrated countertop and open-concept storage, it's a perfect, bespoke solution for a dynamic retail environment.
